Madison sits on a county line, and it matters more than you would think
Most of Madison is in Madison County. The west side of the city runs across into Limestone County, which is our home county, and that line does more than sit on a map. It changes which county extension office publishes the guidance for your yard, and it changes who we are already driving past on a normal Tuesday.
If you are west of Wall Triana, we are already out there. If you are on the Madison County side, we still come, and the price does not change for the drive. What we will not do is pretend the two sides of town have the same soil, because they do not always. A lot of Madison grass is young
Madison has been building houses hard for two decades. That means a large share of the lawns here are sod that went down on a graded lot, not turf that has been settling in for forty years.
